Tokyo Police Club @ the Glasshouse 09.19.08

Tokyo Police Club put on a great show last week at the Glasshouse, their final gig of their current tour in support of this year's amazing Elephant Shell, their first LP. After the show at the Glasshouse, TPC goes on tour opening for Weezer, a big break for them, with dates scheduled into late October. Elephant Shell will likely be on my favorites list this year, since in between other albums, I keep coming back to it.

Josh Hooks - guitar / Dave Monks - lead vocals, guitar

Graham Wright - vocals, keyboards

I was dissappointed that I couldn't get a picture of drummer Greg Alsop.

I know someone who went to see the Weezer / A&A / Tokyo Police Club show this past weekend just outside Philly and heard people were just poking fun at these guys their entire set. I don't get it, have Weezer fans turned into self-appreciating fools who can't open their minds to bands who haven't been around for 10+ years? TPC will be up there on my list this year as well.

I have to say, the light show that TPC put on was the most ambitious I have ever seen at the Glass House. There were a lot of strobes and back-lighting and light bouncing off reflective sheets, which all made getting a photo very challenging. I am really impressed with that top photo.
