Moody and Deadly
The Cape May

The Cape May from Calgary employ strings, keys, theremin and accordian and the studio assistance of Steve Albini (Nirvana, Smog, Low, The Pixies) in the lovely, brooding tunes of their second album, Glass Mountain Roads in early August. Good for late-night listening on the headphones.

The Cape May: Spring Flight to the Land of Fire
The Cape May: Copper-Tied

The Deadly Syndrome

Jesse, Will, Chris, and Mike of Los Angeles-based The Deadly Syndrome have gained a reputation for energy-packed live performances, selling out their shows at Spaceland. Now the release of their first album, The Ortolan, next Tuesday on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records will determine if they can translate that to the studio.
At first listen, it sounds good to me--a perfect antidote to over-doing the navel-contemplation bit.

The Deadly Syndrome: Eucalyptus
