indie.mom's last word on 2007

the lovely Getty Gardens

After completing my list of my favorite 10 albums of 2007 and my favorite 25 songs of the year (continued here), I began to look at other people's lists and discovered three things. First, there was a lot of music out there that I had never even heard of, much less ever listened to. Second, there was some music that I didn't give a fair shake - tons of songs and albums that I gave a cursory listen or I didn't give proper attention. And finally, I discovered (much like last year) that I am destined to second guess my choices and moan about the fact that I could have or should have included such-and-such song/album on my lists. So I decided to make a few mini-lists of things I want to share that I liked in 2007.

The Burial album's just wonderful. Best electronic album I've heard for years, and I listen to a fair few.
