From the Mailbox
I usually leave our Friday posts to Indie Mom, but sometimes she gets too busy to write, and then I'm busy too. So today I'm going to throw out some goodies from my bulging mailbox. These bands really deserve more time and thought than I'm giving them here, but I hope you listen to them and let them speak for themselves.
Lemuria

Lemuria is really nice girl-rock, kind of like Superchunk with a female vocalist. Guitarist/vocalist Sheena Ozzella, bassist Jason Draper, and drummer/vocalist Alex Kerns make up the band.

Lo Fine

Lo Fine, fronted by Kevin O'Rourke, is such a treat to listen to, especially if you, like me, are into such singer-guitarists as Jackson Browne and Matthew Sweet. This album will put you right into those easy grooves. Very, very nice.

Last but not least, The Priddle Concern from Ontario, Canada, who sound a little bit like They Might Be Giants might sound if they decided not to be so silly. Above, Bill Priddle.
