Halloween Ain't the Same Without Oingo Boingo

Nobody loves Halloween the way Danny Elfman, former lead singer and songwriter of legendary, long-dead Oingo Boingo, does. I read that he collects that Mexican Day of the Dead skulls and skeleton art. He insisted on being the singing voice of Jack Skellington in Nightmare Before Christmas. I'm sure he didn't have to argue too hard with director Tim Burton. Those two goulie-groupies have a long and dark association.
Time was when you could count on an Oingo Boingo concert every October 31. Indie Mom and I went to the last one in 1995 at Universal Amphitheater, and it was a blast. Here are some Boingo tunes to help with this year's celebrations and remember good times of the past.
Trick or Treat!

Dead Man's Party
Dead or Alive
No Spill Blood
Country Sweat
Violent Love

hmmm. i have to admit that I'd never heard of oingo boingo until now, but I HAVE heard of Danny Elfman, of course, who hasn't?
interesting songs though. :D
Really? Man, Oingo Boingo is the reason I listen to rock today, or at least rock of a certain quality. I am in envy of you, alt-gramma, for your having been at their final show; I only own it own CD and DVD. I was just starting my sophomore year in college and wasn't bold enough to jaunt off to L.A. for the show. With one of my other favorite rock bands of all time reassembling (that being The Smashing Pumpkins), I can only hope that someday I will have the pleasure of seeing my true number one play live at least once.
