The winner of the award for longest and strangest band name goes to The Prayers and Tears of Arthur Digby Sellers. This collective of members posted amusing and not very informative bios on their site, but they have also posted a free and legal download of their latest EP, Redux, a collection of b-sides and rarities. Their latest album, also with a long and strange title, The Mother of Love Emulates the Shapes of Cynthia can be purchased by clicking the link.

Enjoy the following tracks that have been collecting dust in my music collection for a while. I find them very enjoyable when they make it into the random shuffle, but I have not really been inspired to seek out more tracks other than these. Give them a listen.

Click on the "music" link for other free and legal downloads (including a cover of a Mountain Goats song), including the tracks from the album Psalterie, where the original version of Another Rock Star Laments can be found. Their site is a treasure trove of free tracks, but remember to purchase their new album and thank them for all the free swag.

The Prayers and Tears of Arthur Digby Sellers are currently on tour all over the eastern and southern parts of this fine country. They will be appearing at the Troika Music Festival in Durham, NC on October 20, alongside Okkervil River, The Mountain Goats and many, MANY others. Check out their site for more information.
