One of the most enjoyable things about having this blog and a MySpace page has been meeting and making friends with fresh young bands. Today I want to acknowledge just a few of those bands as thanks for the gift of their music.

Creech Holler

Snake-waving, Mississippi-delta blues-country with a dark sound from back up in them thar hills of Tennessee and North Carolina. Lead singer Jeff Zentner (vocals, bottleneck and clawhammer electric guitar) also ventures out solo.

A Seattle band that seems to still be experimenting to find their own sound. Little bit of country, little bit of electro-dance, little bit of alternative--There's something nice for every taste on Attack of the Firebots. This one is my little slice of heaven.
