same name, different song
British Sea Power are, not surprisingly, a British band out of Brighton. Their quirky and inventive lyrics and music were displayed wonderfully in 2003's The Decline of British Sea Power. BSP's sound has been likened to The Smiths and David Bowie, and have been endorsed by other musicians such as Radiohead, Lou Reed, and the Strokes. BSP released the excellent Open Season in 2005, and the band is currently working on their next album, hopefully to be released in 2007.

Muse are a little more well-known band out of Devon. Although Muse are currently on a neo-western space-rock disco kind of kick right now, there once was a time when the band was touted as "the next Radiohead". With the release of Absolution in 2003, the band's fourth LP studio album secured their launch to stardom. The track below, "Blackout", is a morose song that has lovely orchestral ups and downs, with the soothing voice of lead singer Matthew Bellamy.
