Robert Plant and Alison Krauss
At first you might think that Led Zep lead singer Robert Plant and country/bluegrass fiddler Alison Krauss are a jarring combination, but there are wonderful results in this pairing. So far, this one is my favorite.

The Swell Season
Glen Hansard and Czech girlfriend Markéta Irglová perform together as The Swell Season, and Hansard is also known as the lead singer of Dublin's the Frames. They also play the lead roles and provide the soundtrack for the movie Once, directed by John Carney, one-time bass player in the Frames. A friend asked me to look for this wonderful cover of Van Morrison's "Into the Mystic," as performed by Hansard and Irglová live on NPR.

The Pangs
I don't know much about The Pangs except that they are British (London/Brighton), that they have a new CD called Cside Trax, and I like this song.
