a-sides at the glasshouse: 10/17/07
Philadelphia band The A-Sides are currently on tour with Say Hi and The Velvet Teen in support of their second album, Silver Storms, released in September. While the band's first album, Hello, Hello, released in 2005, was heavily influenced by The Beatles and The Beach Boys, their second effort is more reminiscent of Nada Surf, with a bit of shoegaze mixed in just for fun.
I enjoyed their live set and have been listening to Silver Storms repeatedly. I had a really hard time trying to decide which songs to post here, because the album is all excellent.
