Finally Friday

We are one week away from what is known in retail parlance as "Black Friday," traditionally the heaviest shopping day of the year. Since Mr. Folkie and I saw Zach and Miri Make a Porno,, I can't help remembering the scene where Delaney, who is black, is told by the boss that he has to work on Black Friday. The tirade that follows is both bizarre and hilarious--typical Kevin Smith.
Can You See the Sunset brings us some tunes from the stack of CDs from his overflowing mailbox--a hazard of music blogging. I have stacks too, and it's really hard to keep up.
Lost in Your Inbox also posts some new music today, one with Calvin Harris vocals. Scroll down, and you'll find us discussing Craig Ferguson and Scottish accents.
Thanks, Captain Obvious has brand new music from Anathallo's new album, Canopy Glow.
Count Me Out has featured Horsefeathers, Deerhunter, and new Andrew Bird this week on video.
And Contrast Podcast #138 covers affairs of The Heart. My contribution will probably show up again on my Favorites of 2008, so check it out.
