Buffetlibre: Remixing the 80's

Chanel Anger Happy Funk from sexymess.com
Check out the 80’s cover project by Buffetlibre, a Spanish website dedicated to the promotion of pop and electronic music in legal mp3 format. Rewind is a non-commercial project intended as a unique tribute to music of the 1980's.
The first project, 58 covers and remixes of songs from the great 1980s, was made available on July 1, with the next installment due September 1. The artists include interesting unknowns as well as those whose names are getting to be familiar, like Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin and Ruby Isle.
Check out a few of my favorites then look for more for yourself.
Saint Bernadette: Owner Things,
A clever combination of Yes's "Owner of a Lonely Heart" and Howard Jones "Things Can Only Get Better"
Hello Tokyo: Girls - Beastie Boys cover
RAC feat. Karl Kling: Take On Me>, a snappy, synthy cover of Norwegian band A-Ha's hit song
I don't remember the original of this song, but this Swedish band has done something really nice with it. They are worth checking out for their own songs as well.
Lucknow Pact: A Flash In the Night - Secret Service cover
Saucy dance-diva Cannonball Jane takes this old, familiar crush to the fantastic.
Cannonball Jane: Crush On You - The Jets cover
