Time Travel Tuesday: Weekdays

I haven't been talking much about Tim Young's Contrast Podcast. I participate almost every week and it's a great musical treat whether I'm there or not. If I don't participate, it's not because I can't think of a song that fits the theme; it's usually because I think of too many songs and can't make up my mind! Indecisive = me.
The theme this week, Contrast Podcast #121, submitted by another blog friend, Marcy of Lost In Your Inbox, is Days of the Week, which gives us an opportunity for some short-term time travel. Naturally, I had come up with a list of 19 songs I was trying to choose from.
This one from Ry Cooder would have been my top choice because it names Monday through Thursday.
Ry Cooder: On a Mondayfrom Into the Purple Valley (1971)
I also had a sweet Tuesday song by Jon Auer, former lead singer of the Posies.

When I found out that Tim had no submissions for Sunday, my mind was made up. I chose this nice Sunday song by Kind Hearts and Coronets, a Highland Park (Los Angeles area) band.

Here are a couple more days of the week songs I like a lot:
The Purrs: Taste of Monday from The Dreams Our Stuff Is Made Of (2005)

Kate Tucker and the Sons of Sweden: Saturday Night from self-titled album (2007)

Days of the Week barrettes: Worsted Witch

it looks like you could do your OWN podcast just on the days of the week! it was a good one, wasn't it? next week's ought to be interesting, too.
