Her Space Holiday, last featured here a couple of years ago, will release a new album on September 9. According to Marc Bianchi on the HSH myspace, XOXO, Panda and the New Kid Revival moves away from the sampling and electronic sound prevalent on previous albums. After performing the new album in its entirety at a few shows earlier this spring, HSH will embark on a larger tour over the summer and fall, traveling all over the US, Europe, and Australia. HSH will play in Houston and Austin next week, but the rest of the dates are still TBD.
Check out HSH's covers of Wolf Parade and Buddy Holly, and preview some of the tracks from the upcoming album here.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that the intro of that cover of "I'll Believe in Anything" is from a documentary made in the 80's called Streetwise. It's about street kids in Seattle, it was nominated for an Oscar, and my friend's mother produced it. What's amazing is, this documentary never made it to DVD and in fact is really hard to come by even on VHS...I had no idea people outside of my immediate circle of friends knew about it, but it's incredible. Thanks for posting the song; the initial moment of recognition was very exciting, and the cover's a good one too.
Thanks for letting me know...I had wondered what it was from. It's a small world out there!
