Finally Friday

Jordan Geiger of Hospital Ships, Shearwater, and Minus Story
Quarterlife Party features clips of five tracks from the new Ryan Adams CD Cardinology. I think this album is going to take a few listens to get into.
Muzzle of Bees gives us a heads-up on the new Oasis album. NOW I'm interested!
Passion of the Weiss saw Jay-Z at the newly remodeled Palladium. Not my kind of music, but boy did he get some nice photos!
I Guess I'm Floating features Three Absurdly Good Animal Collective MPP Covers.
If you're feeling down, go over to The Lonesome Blog for some music to lie down and cry by. They always have tunes I end up loving over there.
I blew out a lot of political frustration on Wednesday (Time For Change, but Lost In Your Inbox has something thoughtful to say almost every day. Today's installment is "Virgin Voting." Lots of good music too.
And Mr. Toad at Song, By Toad waxes wordy on the subject of Chillout music. Hey, it's better than drugs!

actually I'm pretty sure Jeff Weiss wasn't at the Palladium, but posted some of the photos from LA Weekly and posted a few mp3s to drive traffic. why not, right? no one reads what bloggers write anyway.
Actually, I'm pretty sure you have no idea what you're talking about, HQ. I was at the Palladium, wrote the review for LA Weekly and my blog and yes, used the photos, attributed them and put a link back to the Weekly.
Thanks for your concern though, keep up the trenchant insight.
OK you got me; Weiss's post does say plain as day the top photo is by Timothy Norris. Missed that in my hurry to get my post up on the interwebs this morning. But what makes you think Weiss wasn't there? I don't see anything in the text that doesn't indicate eyewitness writing. Weiss does write for both LA Times and LA Weekly, and sometimes his accounts appear in both publications.
Anyway, thanks for your comment.
Oh and thanks for the link in the first place.
Jeff, thanks for coming by and commenting on this. You and I were apparently writing our comments at nearly the same time; I wrote without seeing yours. I'm always amazed that people will pick the smallest nit to pick.
My pleasure, keep up the great work.
Thanks for the mp3's - great stuff. Hospital Ships is especially awesome.
"almost every day" -- lol!
thanks, linda. that made my day!
