Birdmonster is playing some dates around California, and despite the fact that they scheduled some sort of close to us (within 100 miles), Indie Mom and I did not go to those in the L.A. area Tuesday or Wednesday nights.

It's really tempting to try to make tonight's Long Beach show, but that would mean facing some really ugly numbers: 15...91. Nasty! Remember in the movie Clueless when Dion accidentally got on the freeway? If you don't live in Southern California, you probably thought that was absurdly funny. If you DO live in Southern California, you shook your head in sympathy. All that screaming was just too familiar!

Let me just remind you that Birdmonster supplied one of my Favorite Songs of 2006). In the weeks since then I've come to like several others from their 2006 album No Midnight nearly as well.
